We've just come off our July 4th show, our second at the surprisingly accomodating East Village venue 'The Spiral.' Both shows were along with '82 Gremlin and Viva Fidel (although Viva Fidel wasn't able to play the second, most of them were still there to represent) who, together, foster a 'family-style' atmosphere - this is important because although we are very serious when it comes to warning about and/or fighting against the impending robotization of the human race, deep down we are also kind of sentimental about the noble qualities of humanity and what a shame it would be to see them all reduced to emotionless machines.
The big news this month, though, is our first LP release, which should be back from the press any day now. We are just finishing up the cover art. It's essentially the same as our cassette release, except that we did, in fact, clean up and remix two of the tracks, and, more importantly, while the cassette is titled 'Save The Last Human Family,' the LP is simply named 'Last Human Family.' We will certainly have these at shows, but we are also talking to some distributors, so perhaps you'll be seeing this around somewhere. More on that as it happens.
As far as shows go, we've got nothing concrete until Oct. 3rd at ABC No Rio here in NYC (see below), but we are working on booking shows in Vermont, New Hampshire, Philadelphia, and possibly Athens, GA, as well as anywhere in between. As always, feel free to contact us (see address below) to arrange bookings or even if you just want to talk. We're here to help.
This month's shouts go to Nick Schroeder, a New England original. Sorry you couldn't make it, Nick.
